Which surfaces can temporary blinds stick to?

paper blinds

Temporary blinds are a quick, easy and affordable window covering solution. But before you try them for yourself, you’ll want to know what surfaces they can stick to.

Read on to learn which surface materials BlindsInABox white blinds and black temporary blinds can stick to.

Hanging blinds without drilling holes

One of the biggest drawbacks to permanent window coverings is that you usually have to drill holes – either to hold up the curtain pole or for the blind brackets. BlindsInABox blinds offer a stick-on solution. This means you can easily install them without drilling.

Our blinds have an adhesive strip, and fitting them is as easy as peeling back the paper which covers that sticky strip, and pressing the blinds against the surface you want them to stick to. We do advise not sticking the blinds to newly painted surfaces or walls which have been painted with a water-based paint.

Temporary blinds for every window type

BlindsInABox blinds have been designed to suit every type of window: irrespective of their size, shape or material.

Thanks to the flexibility of our paper blinds, which can be stuck together to create large blinds, and cut down to make smaller ones, they really are the best low-cost solution for almost every window type.

What many of our customers love about BlindsInABox blinds is that they will stick to any window material. The self-adhesive strip is strong enough to stick firmly to a variety of surfaces but, importantly, not damage them on removal.

Temporary blinds for uPVC windows

uPVC (plastic) windows are probably the most common window type BlindsInABox blinds are used on.

If you can’t (or don’t want to) drill into your walls or uPVC windows, then temporary stick-on blinds are a great alternative. Our no-drill blinds work very well on uPVC windows, and once removed you can simply use a damp cloth to remove any adhesive residue.

If you find that the blind is stuck fast, a good tip is to use a hairdryer to warm up the glue, which will aid the blind’s removal.

Temporary blinds for wooden windows

If you have wooden windows, you want to ensure that anything you attach to them will not permanently mark or discolour the beautiful natural colour.

Our no drill blinds have a small adhesive strip which leaves no trace when removed. Once you’ve finished with your stick-on blind, carefully peel the blind away from the wooden window frame.

As with other window types, there may be a slightly sticky residue left behind by the blind, which can be wiped away with a damp cloth.

Temporary blinds for glass

If you want to stick your non-permanent blinds to the glass pane, rather than the window frame, this is possible and absolutely fine to do. In fact, BlindsInABox blinds stick to glass very well.

Temporary blinds for aluminium windows

In recent years, aluminium windows have become more popular, with colours like anthracite grey, cream and duck egg blue proving particularly popular.

The colour of your aluminium windows is sprayed on during the manufacturing process, and you can rest assured it will stay firmly in place when using our temporary blinds

The adhesive strip featured on our paper blinds is strong enough to hold up the blind for as long as needed, but does not pull at the paintwork on your window frames on removal.

If you’re looking for a safe, reliable and affordable window covering solution which won’t damage your existing windows – whatever their material – choose BlindsInABox temporary blinds.
