    Designed to completely block out light, they’re perfect for shift workers who need to sleep during the day, or adults, children and babies who wake up earlier than expected due to sunlight. They can also be used as portable blackout blinds when travelling. 

    These pleated blinds are a cost-effective alternative to permanent window coverings, making them a great option if you want to try blackout blinds for the first time, are on a budget, in a private rental property or just aren’t ready to commit to permanent blinds.

    Installing our blinds couldn’t be easier:

    • Step 1: Measure and cut

    Simply measure your temporary blackout blind against your window and use a pair of scissors or craft knife to cut them vertically to length.

    • Step 2: Peel back and stick!

    Peel back the protective tape and stick them in the desired location.

    Unlike permanent blinds that come with fixtures, our stick-on blinds are no-drill blinds and remarkably easy to install. What’s more, the adhesive is designed to leave no visible trace after the blind is removed, making it an ideal option for rentals, renovations, student accommodation, or while waiting for your permanent blinds to be made. They can also be used as travel blackout blinds for cars and caravans.

    Adjustable stick-on blinds

    Our temporary blackout blinds are unlike roller blinds and are cordless. However, they can be adjusted using the complimentary clips that accompany them. You can also pick up extra clips or velcro strips to keep the blackout blinds in place. They work well for both windows and doors.

    Perhaps one of the best things about our stick-on blackout blinds is that they are reusable. You can easily detach the blind and reapply the strip that protected the adhesive area. When you need to use it again, take off the strip and reinstall the blind. You can also recycle the stick on blackout blind when you’re done using it.

      Not sure about “temporary” we have been using these in our bedroom for 6 years!…working nights and sleeping during the day these have been a cheap effective alternative to other products. Easy to trim to size and find each one lasts a couple of years daily use before the need to replace. Excellent product and will continue to buy.

      I bought these for my children’s bedrooms in the summer months after battling for weeks with gro-blinds which kept falling down. These are excellent black-out blinds. Not only did they arrive the next day, they took me seconds to put up and are really blackout. Because there is a street light out the front of the house, I needed to have something which went right to the edge of the window and because these are self adhesive, that has been possible to do. I’ve overlapped one and a half blinds on each and they are really easy to put down. What I also like is that they can be put up with the clips so that you can still have daylight. Definitely a preferable and much more affordable solution than trying to get made to measure blinds and then fit them. I’m not sure they’ll be temporary in this house!

      This was my 2nd purchase. Previous purchase of white blinds for bathroom window privacy has worked well for a year – having not wanting to drill into tiles. And surprisingly remained steam proof ! This time bigger black blinds to cover from upstairs downstairs bay windows, whilst curtains were removed for room painting. And very handy interim measure, as self adhesive and cuttable, so could customise to shape of bay windows. This time i remembered to score with stanley knife whilst still in paper binds as soon as i took out of the box. Covered each 3m bay window in under 5 mins. And very good value.

      Just one thing – I think it would be helpful if installation instructions included a suggestion to put some temporary weights on the bottom so the blinds to relax them so they cover the whole window. Only needs to be done once. I used clothes pegs to fix ordinary cutlery knives to the bottom edge and left them on overnight.

      Amazing blinds! After living in a flat with no blinds for nearly 3 months, I am so glad I found this website. We are both doctors and the absence of blackout blinds made it difficult during nightshirts. These were really quick and easy to put on and the blackout function is amazing. Love them! Although the overall mechanism to put the blinds up and down is somewhat tedious for the vertically challenged, it’s simple enough that I still do it most days.

      Absolutely exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t believe how strong they were and they really do block out the light, it’s changed my night times! so easy to put up too, in fact quite enjoyable! I think i’ll end up leaving them there for as long as they last, they look that good.
      The only reason for 4 stars is that I would have loved just an extra 20cm or so in width for the Large size. I know you can double up on them, but then pulling them up and down would be a bit of a faff to keep aligning. So it’s ever so slightly too narrow to be complete black out. Large and Standard sizes are not massively different in width, so my only plea would be to get the Large to be wider 🙂

      Purchased one small black blind as a test run as we hope to buy a new build house and thought these would be great as a temporary solution. Well this little back blind arrived on a Tuesday after purchasing Sunday night, by DHL, i managed to cut and fit in a narrow bathroom window in about 5 mins, we have porcelain tiles around this recessed window and didnt want to drill.       I’m actually pleased with these, wish I’d discovered them sooner. They work a treat for my daughters bedroom which has a normal blackout blind but still doesn’t block all the light. Added these underneath, brilliant. Pretty good quality paper and used leftovers for a craft project. One star dropped as I didn’t receive the pegs which have apparently been sent. Shame they don’t come in other sizes , so easy to install.

      With a large bedroom window that faces directly to the morning sunrise sleep past 4am during the summer months has been rare. Lined curtains and a Venetian blind still left the room like daylight after 4am. I decided to try Blinds in a Box and woohoo it’s DARK. The only problem is because it’s summer I need a window open. First night I had metre long steel rules to stretch out the blinds. Second night I was awake with the blinds rattling in the gentle breeze all night . Now I use the steel rules every night to hold the blinds down and all is ok. Could you maybe provide a weight accessory though as I am an artist and my steel rules belong in my studio and I need to remember to bring them every night. But thank you for the sleep…I needed it. It would be a 5* if they didn’t rattle

      I am delighted with these black blinds. I have a rounded bay window in my bedroom that faces south. The sun is relentless during heatwaves. I was able to order one box of blinds that I could cut and make 5 blinds from, that perfectly fitted the 5 windows on my bay. They peg neatly and unobtrusively into place at the top of the windows, but easily come down to cut out the sun during very hot weather. The process of fitting them, could not have been easier. I found the YouTube Video of Blinds in a Box and how to cut and fit them very useful. I know you say they can be used as temporary blinds, but I can see these being at my window for many many years. They also arrived very quickly, with good step by step information of exactly when they would arrive.

      They work well however they aren’t 200 cm of usable blind – that appears to be the length of the material prior to folding. If you’re using them for a floor to ceiling window they won’t reach the ground and you’ll have a strange gap.

      Was after ‘temporary blackout blinds’ to only use OCCASIONALLY in Grandkids bedroom, and for when my ‘shift working’ husband had to sleep through the day.
      Honest opinion – the black ones would be great if these were to be left DOWN permanently, but I do have to ‘faff’ to get them to get them back up to let daylight in, and stay up!
      They are quite fiddly to concertina them to their original shape.
      I
      Cutting them to size was a doddle, but I did need to add extra stronger double sided sticky tape to hold them in position, as the one provided didn’t hold.
      So, after considering these points, 4* rating from me, as the ‘faffing to roll them back up again’, has actually put me off using one of the blinds I ordered.

      I’ve bought blinds from this company several times over the years. Their blackout blinds are perfect during heatwaves in summer because they totally block all light. My mum has their white blinds, which let enough light through on cold winter days that she doesn’t need to lift them and let cold air in. I like these blinds because they’re made of paper and can be recycled. The only down side of that is you need to be careful not to tear the blind or get it wet (if you have condensation on the windows). The glue on the top of the blind holds really well but make sure you position it properly first time as I don’t find it sticks as well if it’s moved. Because they’re paper blinds, they can be cut to size. Cutting can be a bit difficult if you have small hands but mine look fine and have lasted years. I bought extra because I will need them in summer to cover all my windows and just wanted to have them ahead of time.

      This is a great product. I bought the blackout blinds to cover our windows after a replacement, and so far so good. The adhesive is working, blinds are super easy to use, and we cut one in half to use on narrower windows.

      One small comment is that with our very tall windows, the blinds don’t come all the way down. Not a huge issue – we decided to place them 2/3rds of the way up the window which allows light to come in but still grants privacy. However, it would be amazing to offer more height options if possible. That would really elevate the product from great to perfect!

      The blinds are brilliant. I have used them for years on South facing windows behind my curtains to keep out the intense sun and keep rooms cooler. They are good quality and at a price you can afford to replace every now and then. However I find the new chrome clips are very difficult to squeeze open as I have arthritic hands. Please bring back the matching black plastic ones.

      Wow! These are amazing! Purchased the black out blinds for my large bedroom bay window as a temporary fix after having new windows fitted and having to wait 12 weeks for shutters to be installed. These are great quality for the money, and actually look really aesthetically pleasing!       We bought one of the temporary blackout blinds, when moving into our new property, to see if it would do what we wanted. We were a little apprehensive whether it would do the trick. Once we cut it to size and put it on our bedroom window, we realised it would work fine, so we ordered a box of 3 more for the other rooms. It then took 6 months to finalize our permanent window covering during which time the “temporary” blinds worked perfectly, showing only minor signs of wear from daily use. VERY happy with the quality.
